Dicers

A scattered network of spellcasters, spies, and vagabonds, the Dicers advocate equality and covertly oppose the abuse of power, magical and otherwise. Agents operate in secret and emphasize stealth, subtlety and the power of stories. Bards, sorcerers, and warlocks are common among the Dicer ranks, but all are welcome. They often work in direct opposition to the less scrupulous actions and agents of the Confederate Council, but they can work with these individuals as well when both sides serve the common good. Their symbol is a pair of six-sided dice, with the numbers three and four showing forward.

Dicers operate in small cells throughout the Confederacy. In the Valley, they have two cells, both on the northern border of the Valley. One is based in Triboar: Darathra Shendrel, the Lord Protector, is a proud member of the Dicers and Dicer agents find welcome in the Home of the Boars. The second cell is in the prosperous trade center of Yartar, monitoring traffic in the Dessarin Valley and the actions and policies of the city’s Waterbaron. The Dicers also work to maintain a balance of power between the groups competing to influence the city.

In the Sumber Hills, the Dicers warn travelers and adventurers to stay clear of Rundreth Manor and the Dark Lady who dwells there. Dicers also watch the ruined Halls of the Hunting Axe.
